After taking my car to my local 1/8 mile track a few weeks ago with 26" tires I realized that my gearing and power wasnt going to work with that size tire so after searching around and trying to figure out which route to go I ended up with a set of 295/45/17 MT drag radial! I was leary of a radial tire with a six speed car due to my past experiences with wheel hop but I desperately needed the taller tire! Anyways....first two passes were terrible car started to wheelhop bad on 1st pass and just blew the tires off second pass! On the last run I decided to try and get the tires REAL hot so I did a pretty big burnout and it helped! I came out at 4,000 and rode the clutch till it got rolling good and this is it!

any engine mods done besides a Upp kit? I'm looking at buying a kit but I have a ls3 h/c ls2. My cam was speced for boost really. I have 3.90 gears,rpm lvl 5 z51 trans, monster stage 3 clutch as well and a 28inch tire nitto 305/45/18.. if you mind telling me how much power your making that would be awesome. I do plan on running 10psi hopefully
The car made 590 rwhp on a mustang dyno! As far as internally the engine is BONE stock valve covers have never been removed! Just the TT kit and built drivetrain! My 28" Hooisers are mounted up and I will be a the track later this week hopefully! I still haven't turned the boost up yet but will soom. I just want to perfect my launch technique and get my traction where it needs to be before I make any more power!
