Default C5 headlight question

What actually shuts off the motor for the flip up headlight? How does the motor know when it is supposed to stop?

There is a module mounted behind your right headlight that senses when the voltage to the headlight cuts off. That triggers the headlight motors to run until they hit the bumpstops. When the headlights hit the bumpstops the module senses the "load" and shuts down the headlight motors. (I think)
