C5 intake manifold options

What would work best for the money if I was also doing a mild cam new tb probably around 90mm or whatever will fit on the intake and headers, full exhaust, cold air, and a custom tune? It's becoming about budget very fast I would like a fast 92 but they're kinda the very top of what I can spend. Like no gas money to get home after I have them installed

To keep cost down, see if you can pick up a stock LS6 intake. Best bang for buck. Should do well on the 99 as a bolt on, and be able to retain factory TB..which you could always port. Sure, you can spend the money on a FAST and a new TB but,...gains aren't super big...to warrant cost. If you weren't on a budget then I would say go to a fast but...again, LS6 works like a champ.

The nearest ls6 intake I've found is 4 hours away on a wrecked car there's no way I'll find a fast unless I get it on eBay and I'm not about that life I like to actually know what I get

Don't need ebay to find those deals. Found my ported Fast 90 with TB, injectors, and fuel rails all for $600, and got it from a member on here. Sold the fuel rails and injectors for $200 since I didn't need them, so basically the intake and TB only cost me $400

My 102 did not require lower motor mounts or cutting the cowl.
Check the for sale section on corvette forums for a ls6. They show up fairly regular even if there isn't one for sale right at this moment. If one is not posted for sale put a WTB thread and I bet you get one. The ls6 would be the most economical and you will have great gains. The gains from a fast are going to depend on how radical your setup is. If you are cam and bolt ons you might only see 8-10 hp over a ls6 and it will cost you a lot more. I personally gained 30 rwhp and 20 rwtq over a ls6 on my 408 with 225cc trickflow heads. A fast is going to run around 850 new, you will also need a throttlebody and that is going to run you about 300 if you go with the gm 90mm. So just decide what best fits your budget for the gains to decide what is best for you.
