C5 idling problems.
I just bought a 04 corvette. It has long tube headers, cam, cold air intake, no cats, 241 cast heads. Automatic. I don't know if the car was ever tuned.
Here's the problem..
The car starts up every time, idles around 900, when i change gears (automatic) from park to any position and vice versa the idle will drop to 550 or so, it sounds like it is going to stall, then after 3-5 seconds the idle will bounce between 550-750 Rpm for a few seconds then return to a 900 rpm range. It does this every time I change gears. Also today I reved it up to about 2000 rpm, and when the rpm came back down the car died. Oil PSI is steady around 60, temp is normal, NO check engine light, no computer codes. It runs perfectly when I am applying the gas pedal. Thanks for any help.
