C5 wheel shake above 50mph, not the wheels
Hi all,
I have a minor shake in my steering wheel at 50 mph+ but it is not the wheels. I had my wheels balanced and had a front end alignment, was still giving me trouble. Swapped my wheels with a friend of mine's wheels, his steering wheel didn't shake and mine continued to shake even with different wheels on.
It doesn't occur during breaking and does not shake below 50 mph. I've had it to several shops now and people can only guess. The guess's I have recieved so far is:
the rotors are after market and had weights on them and perhaps a weight came off
bearings but they look to be in good shape
steering rack bushing
I have no idea, been dealing with it for months now, am so fed up!!!
