Default 1/4 or 1/8 racing, How many of you run?

Here in Dayton, Ohio I occasionally get together with a group of Vette owners for dinner and we talk about cars and mods. When it come time to "put-up or Shut-up" at the track not anyone ever shows . I realy enjoy my car, and racing it at the local TNT nights is just fun. Is it just me that likes to go to the tracks?

"i am not a freak but i like to freak"...lots of just for fun Corvette drag folks (and Mustangs, muscle cars, trucks, etc)...thats part of what is so enjoyable is the complete cross-section of humanity and cars...junk to exotic and most there just to have a hoot...when you can find some like minded "brothers" to join you and start a good "liars" or "trash talking" club at the track then it becomes really addictive...

Ive had my car to the track 3 times in the 4+ months I've owned it so far.

But I do notice a lot of corvette owners on other forums have mile long signatures with meaningless mods and they dont have any times on their cars. Kinda lame IMO.

I can't wait to get my C5 out to the track! I just need to find one first! It's not as easy up here as it is in the US, the selection is smaller and my price range only allows me to pick the higher mileage stuff.

I love going to the track, I hate these guys that buy Vettes and don't drive them like they are supposed to be driven. Especially when they have mods done to their cars and then baby them. I take extreme care of my car but I still make sure it gets opened up as much as possible. There are a lot of trailer queen vettes out there but trust me, there are plenty of guys who like to race them too.

My Z06 has 2200 miles and 130 hard passes on it.I'm going to do H/C so I can have more fun beating on it.

I try to go at least 3 times per season although its been so wet here in IA that I have yet to make it. I just want to make it one time when the humidity and heat aren't so damn high.

I have been twice this year and love going as much as the next HP freak!
We are pretty lucky in STL, there is rarely a shortage of Vettes at the track not to mention how many are in the top 16 on street legal street tire night on Teusday.!!.(it is dominated by the bowtie!)

The problem is trying to get there while the car is together and not waiting on new mods to be completed..

I certainly enjoy going to the track. I've noticed a bunch of the Vette guys seem to like bench racing and Zaino their rides for the car shows. To each his own.

Well I get about 200 passes a season. I bracket race mostly but have dabbled in some heads up.

I have lots of info on Corvette racing and some Vette vs. Viper stuff so if you are intereseted, start with the link in my sig.

Happy racing all.
