Found a killer little floor jack.........
I found the perfect floor jack for vettes, and any other low clearance cars.
It clears 3 3/8" and will raise 18", weighs in at 45lbs,(made of anodized aluminum) and has handles on the back and side. It's rated at two tons.
It's made by an outfit called crew line, and is really a sharp lookin little jack.
I found it at Sams Club for $99.00, and is worth every penny IMO.

one thing I don't like about it though is the fact it doesn't have a swivel pad on it where it makes contact with the car. it's a fixed pad which means moving the jack around once your car is in the air might prove unwise. jackstands would be a good investment.
on the plus side though, it breaks down into 3 pieces and will fit into the smallest trunk out there. it takes up less space than a set of golf clubs.

No, car hasn't been lowered.
With original size tires and wheels there is 1 1/2"+ clearance between the car and the jack, at the jacking points outlined in the owners manual.
I raise the car from the front or rear raising two wheels at a time as opposed to jacking up one corner at a time.

I've been eyeballing it at Sam's for a while, but didn't know how good it was. Getting under the TA from the front is a PITA, and raising a Vette is just as bad. I also have another smaller, lowered car that I can only use my puny, $20 jack to lift it. I may have to get one.
And 45lbs is better than my other 3 ton, which is like 80! And it's not that much more than my smaller trolley jack

There's a 2 1/2 lb jack that a guy sells on the Corvette Forum. I think it's for a BMW, but works well for our car. It's a screw up, scissors type jack, but one small and light enough to carry in the car at all times.

It' by an outfit called Crew Line.
this number is on the top of the bar code tag: #480750.
this number is also printed on several places of the carton so I think it's the part number.
and on the bottom of the bar code; 28907 22289.
Hope this helps. I checked their website and couldn't find it, so it may be an in store deal only.
