Default Help with 2002 Z06 Mods

Hey guys, I know this is a lot to ask, I was just wondering what all i would need to run about 10.0 in the 1/4 on a 2002 Z06. Please include aprox. Hp/Tq #'s and each mod and price. If possible i would like the car to be very reliable, run on pump gas, and be my daily driver. Thanks alot guys! You guys are awsome!

John

Are you wanting this to be naturally aspirated, nitrous fed, force fed by a turbo or blower? Are you wanting to keep the stock displacement also?

There's a plethora of options out there to net a 10 sec 1/4 time. It'll be a bit pricey, but you have TONS of options out there.

The PROCHARGER KITS from East Coast Supercharging cost 8900 installed and with headers running 8 lbs of boost the Z06 are makig 575=Rwhp and most of these Z06s are running in the 10s with just the supercharger and bolt ons such as headers. Otherwise You could spend $ for a nice professionally installed heads/cam package and with a 100 to 150 shot of N20 and traction (assumed on all of thes scenerios) you would have yourself a 10 sec. car. Last option is big cubed N/A 427 Motor and of course with any of these options you will have to get a new clutch and fortify your rear end drivline parts with hardended output shaft and DTE strut Brace. Those are your best options and h/c with N20 is your cheapest route, followd by the ECS Procharger kit folllowd by the big cubed motor. Of course, a could turbo package will get you in the 10s also but will not be cheap!!!

It is impossible to build a reliable daily driver that will run a 10 flat.

You can easily build it, but you wont want to drive it daily.

Shoot for mid to hi 10's, you'll have a far better chance of reliability for daily driving.

Options for the blower = Magnacharger kit, or a centrifugal. If you go the MC route, you have to either cut your stock hood, or buy a cowl or another raised hood. With the centrifugal you can keep the stock hood. Only downside of going w/ a blower or turbo is being the compression is high, you cant run a lot of boost.

10.0 is a big order. Forced induction is going to be the route you'll need to take, anless you want to go big on giggle gas. And then you break a lot unless you stage it in several hits.

See the turbo kits here....

PTK or TTi twin turbo kit...

You'll need about 560-580 RWHP at a very minimum with a HARD launch to get a 10.0. Of course with more HP you can launch easier and run the 10.0

Fast Intake, Fast throttlebody, LG longtube headers, high flow cats, Borla Stingers Comp cam XR series, comp valvetrain, AFR 205 heads, 36# injectors and some drag slicks should run high 10's. Throw some nitrous at it on street tires and a good smoke show to boot. Check out 6/05 Chevy High Performance Mag. page 80. Basically the same mods. 483rwhp LS1 vette. 11's @ 125 on street tires.
