Default New Best in Stock ZO6 (Carlsbad Raceway)

Despite Being Extremely busy for the 2nd week in a row, the weather was a lot cooler and it felt like the Z was running good.

On the bad side, i couldn't cut a good 60 ft. to save my life. Felt like there was 0 vht/track prep on the track. Prep was really lacking! (but then again when is it not)
Anyway...
had three runs...and they went like this:

1.)
60ft.........2.19
330ft......5.25
1/8et......8.44
1/8mph...86.45
1/4et.......12.85
1/4mph....112.63
(could not get the shifter into 3rd gear on this run)

2.)
60ft.........2.23
330ft........5.67
1/8et.......8.48
1/8mph....89.57
1/4et.......12.80
1/4mph....112.37

3.)
60ft............2.23
330ft..........5.57
1/8et.........8.33
1/8mph......90.60 (first time hittin 90 in the 1/8)
1/4et.........12.62
1/4mph.....114.90 (soooooo close to 115)

Car is still STOCK. I have the hurst shifter in the car but am thinking about taking it out, im not sure if i really like it that much. I never had a problem getting into 3rd with the stock shifter but this hurst is a PITA sometimes.

After seeing my 60ft.'s you can see how i said i could not cut a 2.0 to save my life. Runs were done at Carlsbad. If anyone has seen that track, or been to it, you'll understand why my 60's are so bad.

yeah I know what you mean about C-bad, Best 60' I ever got there on drag radials was a 2.2

On the other hand I ran at qualcomm last night and got a 2.1 60' time but I missed 3rd and still matched my best time. If I would have gotten 3rd I probably would have gotten a new best. Oh well another day.

That is one reason I don't really like Carlsbad. My best 60' was a 1.89, at other tracks I am usually in the 1.7?.

Very nice times, hard to complain about a stock vehicle running like that. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
