Default Vararam install guide?

i ran across a guide a while back from where someone did a Vararam install on their vette w/ pics.

i'm planning on putting the intake on this weekend.. searched and can't find it.. anyone have the link? thanks in advance!

how long should this install take w/ two ppl working on it.. i've heard 5 to 10 hours .. ow!

how long did the install take you? was it just you working on it? i PM'd you the same question on Houston Imports lol

There are some alarming photo's on the CF, make sure you get the filter in correctly.

It took me about 3 hrs to install vararam. I'm sure it could be done lot faster but I took my time.

I did mine in about 2 hours or so with a lift. I will say this it gained me 0 trap speed over my Blackwing, I was very disapointed.

damn that sucks.. :/ looks like u've got a heavily modded car.. did you retune after the vararam? i saw one post where they gained more by doing that.

i'm planning on a retune saturday.. if i can finish the install friday night lol

Proven over and over, gains 3/4/5 tenths in quarter, what's that about 40hp.
If you don't re-tune, it causes a lean condition and the ltft's add fuel to comensate, the problem with this is when ltft are positive and then going wot (open loop) the ltft freeze where they are at and you get a rich condition at wot. This actually caueses power loss. So, if you want to see the real gains in a Vararam a tune is in order, but will adapt without.

definately notice a difference in top end.. pulls like a banshee w/ a fire on its ***!

i got it tuned put down 412rwhp.. had one spike to 415.. can i count that? lol i can't say how much or any of that is do to vararam since i added x-pipe, and cutouts since i last used that same dyno

Don't tend to notice the gains as much on the dyno, but like you just said, thing pulls like a raped ape up top.
