Default has anyone installed a Double Din screen in a c5?

im currious about this, im buying a z06 tomorow and want to know if anyone has customized there vette to fit the double din touch screen in the din and a half radio slot,

i know its a long shot, but does anyone have a picture of what it looks like. I have one in my supra, and want to install it in the vette. I know its possible just needs a little customizing of the dash.

There are several people who have done this. It takes some fabrication right now, but there is a double din bezel currently being developed.

Here's an example.

CMN130 The eclipse models will fit with just minimal fabrication...I have looked into it myself..Car Toys has some great fabricators...Go chat with them...They have done a couple of custom installs for me with great results...

I'm working on building one from scratch.. It's a little more advance than anything you can buy from pioneer or kenwood ... I should have it set up in a couple of months.

Wow.. talk about bringing a thread back from the dead.. lol. Well here is my carPC install thread over on CF. I personally like the carPC route much better than just a regular head unit because you can do anything you want with it basically.

CarPC Install

btw.. there is a link in there where I did my double din mod too. I posted it in another thread since it was kinda another project in itself.

Yeah its possible I though about it however adding a decent double din screen with navi is going to be abotu 2k . Plus because the screens are soo deep they stick out and even with custom fab they look horrible IMO.... I just kept the stock stuff it was not worth the money and I didnt want a flip up monitor.
