My dad has a 99 C5 with a Blackwing as the only mod. Mom is cracking down on him spending any more $$$ on car related items, so his budget is real tight. Since he can't get a catback or headers, I thought a cutout might be a good idea for his situation. We go to the track about 4-5 times a year.....

Is it worth it? Is there a better mod for his situation?

You might want to also consider a crossover pipe for the stock exhaust. Very inexpensive and adds some volume. The guy I bought my Corsa exhaust off of did this for his ZO6 exhaust and it sounded great.
