Help!-- Low HP with no codes
I have a 2004 Corvette Auto with a stock LS1. I bought it used a few months ago and from the time I picked it up it seamed sluggish. I just took it to a local speed shop to have it dyno tested. Here are the disappointing results.
Max Power 174 @ 6000 RPM
Max Torque 180 @ 4000 RPM
A/F Ratio 14.7 up to 4500 RPM dropping to 11.6 by 5000 RPM then holding steady
Fuel Pressure 60 psi steady
The tech told me that the highest throttle position he saw was 60%
The PCM is not showing any codes and the car idles fine.
I’m taking it to the dealer on Monday because it’s still under warranty but I expect them to say that they can’t find anything wrong. Any ideas what might cause this problem? I would like to be able to ask the dealer to check something specific.
Thanks for the help.

those numbers are so wrong they are stupid! If the car is under warranty take it back to the dealership with the dyno chart in hand and tell them to find what is wrong, also if you have a brouchure that advertises the horsepower rating bring that too. Also if the tech saw the throttle position was 60% max than wouldnt that indicate the TPS sensor need adjustment or repalcement? My GTA was suffering from poor throttle response with a bad sensor btw.

well an 11.6afr is on the rich side for n/a but that hp is way low, did you guys have traction controll on or something?, try unpluging the throttle body and disconnect the batt. for 15min, reconnect and take it for a spin, W/TC OFF.... if it helped you will feel a major power gain...

There is the problem right there...60% throttle = 60% power. I would expect that the TPS or TPS sensor has gone bad.
