The only c5 kit that I can think of that you would need to cut the hood is the new kb kit but that kit comes complete with a blower hood....I am not too sure about the one from whipple though

Saw this car last year at funfest. You can see just a bit of where the hood was cut. Sorry, no pic of it closed. It looked ok but personally I perfer the high rise.

I might be in the minority, but I'd not digging the MadMax look. Granted, that hood was cut very carefully and it looks clean, but overall, it just doesn't look right :shrug:.
