I have been following this with some interest...

...how are you going to shield the starter and oil filter from the heat, seeing that they are right next to the turbos???

Thanks,

Just my opinion, but the pic is not great. The turbo system looks photo-chopped on to a pic of a C5 under carriage. Shadows around the pipes look outta place and it appears the driver's side turbo would be intersecting the oil pan/filter.

Peter, is this for real? Actually installed on a C5 when the pic was taken?

Nice try guys. If this was a real kit those turbos are pretty small to make real power. If you ever did want to put big turbos on you couldnt. Also would be real hard to get the charge pipes up front with all the accessories in place if it was on a stock car. Just my opinion.

I hope nobody gives them deposits on a fake kit.

The system is in design phase, not production. Even if they are a rendering, this is how the design phase works. Then they can use the model to generate the CNC bending code to produce the actual parts with the correct bends and angles.

Not a problem if it is a rendering and not a production product. I'd just like some clarification.

If it doesn't physically exist, imo, it is a bit premature to be calling this a pic of the C5 TT system. More like a good representation of what it should look like when it is gets produced.

The proto twin turbo kit does exist and have been on and of the dyno for the last 4 weeks during turbo frame size testing, right now we are fitting pre production parts to the C5 ZO6 and the system will be released in the US by year end.

Thanks,
There will be significant heat sheilding provided in the TT system to protect any vulnerable OEM parts.

Thanks for those kind words. APS engineers had to design and produce new turbine housing tooling to incorporate the exhaust port for the remote watsegates, it's real tight to package remote waste gates ont he C5 Vette though certainly doable.

I agree... truth of the matter is the picture is a digital rendering. If the system is in development why not post real pictures??? I am very interested in this option and would love to do a budget forged-347 and a TT kit...
