Default Cartek line lock install

I ordered the C5 line lock kit from Cartek and installed it today. Let me just say that they put together a great kit and I was very impressed. I had it installed within a half hour. It replaces the factory line that goes from the master cylinder to the EBCM. It came all prebent without and problems. It cost me $250 w/o shipping but was definitely worth the money. The only tools you need is a 1/2 line wrench and a 1/2 crows footw/ extension and ratchet. That is it!!!!! My hats off to Cartek for a great product!

Did you have to bleed the front brakes afterward? Looking into the kit they've got for the C6. TIA

I need to get me one of those sounds nice. I had one on my t/a and I sure do miss it. Tired of getting over zealous and bouncing off my rev limiter trying to show my ***. LOL.

Yes you have to bleed them. I let mine gravity bleed for a little bit. The pedal could of been alot better so I had my brother help me bleed them. It would be a lot easier with the miti-vac though.

All in all and a clean setup. You have to look closely to see the line lock itself, it will be right under the master cylinder. I ran the wire back inside the car last night and ran it with the hood cable into the car. You will have to pull down the black plastic inner fender well panel to access it. Then I got a small pick and made the hole a little bigger, and with the pick in the bushing I slid the wire through. Didn't feel like drilling holes for one wire.

Here are some pictures of the install. You really have to look to see the line lock itself.
