Default Hurst **** from SS Camaro fit a c5?

will it fit on an aftermarket shifter? maybe a billet from Hurst shifter-but with an Fbody style handle??? Any insight would be appreciated!

My personal favorite shift **** is the round leather wrapped ball that came in LS1 f-bodies. I had to drill and tap one to get it to fit in my Z06. I have a B&M shifter btw.

I thought the Corvette handle/**** have that little "T" piece of bronze or whatever in them and aren't threaded?

It's refered to as the demon pin and the **** is threaded. The pin is just to keep it from rotating.

As for the **** the thread size for the corvette is 9/16 x 18.

The hurst **** has been made to fit. A guy over on the corvette forum has done it. Try a search there.

The F-body and Corvette have different threads for the shifter so inless drilled and retapped it will not fit.

Hurst makes a **** specifically for the Corvette... its much easier than trying to make a Camaro one fit.
