You'll have some minor bulging(lol)...but it'll work.

That is the largest DR you can fit on that wheel.

Well, 190mph isn't reommended either but,...guess what.

Man asked a question, I gave him an answer. I don't work for the D.O.T. Turst me, it fits.

I have driven well over 150mph on a 315 17" 9.5 setup in a staright line, on a stock suspended 02 Z06 on numerous occasions, without issues. Would I make a lane change at that speed on that setup, probably not.

Get the 275/40R17 MT radial. Tires that wide (315s) on a 9.5" wheel aren't safe. Not only that but your contact patch will be skinny as hell and the wider tires weigh more. The MT radials are awesome tires.

Obviously some people tend to run tires that are too wide for their rims, but it really isn't safe. There is a sticky in the tire and wheel section of this board specifically stating that this is a dangerous combination and should not be used. If any moderators were paying attention to this post, all of the replies would be deleted and the post would get locked. They don't do this for their own amusement. I know that I have no interest in having a tire blow out due to some anonymous person on an internet message board saying it was a good idea.

I never thought of the dangers involved, but I would have never went and put 315 without further research. Your input is sincerely appreciated and definitely food for thought. Thanks for posting

do what you like....we've been running the 315's since they came out...since...I dunno, maybe late 90's. Anyways, we're still alive, and we've never wrecked a vette....or the numerous mustangs that we've had the exact same setup on(cobra r wheels on 315's)

whatever, use a 275 ...have a nice day.
