224/228/ or 228/230 Duration - Lift between .580-.600 -LSA 114 for a "burble" at idle or a 112 LSA for a moderate "choppy" idle.

These duration specs will still have/keep low end, and scream up top, expect a 35-55rwhp gain depending on supporting mods, very good street cam...

Don't venture too high into the 230 range, it will have trade-offs.. been there, done that.

230 cam would be fine with proper tuning....for me at least
its all relative to what your threshold is and how good your tuner is

Comp cams 220/224 .580/.580 -114LSA
I had that one 1st... it was a nice improvement over a stock (LS1) cam... but I got bored after a month or two... then went bigger.

Do it right the 1st time around.. it's cheaper in the end and will make you happier.

You will want a cam with a lower LSA to shift the power band in to the lower RPM range.

Just scan the for sale section... you can get cams close to what you want for between $150-$250 compared to a new price of $400...

Don't forget some new Comp 918 valvesprings and hardened pushrods. ($170/springs, $100/pushrods, $60 in gaskets/crankbolt, $50 pizza/beer)
