I agree the oil pressure is a little low. The car is running a little hot. Mine used to do that in hotter weather. Make sure there is no air in the system. I always use a product called "Hyper Lube" its a racing formula to reduce coolant temps. My temos now dont go above 190.

My car also has around 27-30 psi at idle when hot. I don't think that is too bad seeing how low the idle is. It climbs quickly as the rpms come back up. My car stays around 200 and will heat to 220 or whenever the fans come on, and immediately goes back down like it is supposed to. I run 5w30 mobile1.

I use Mobil 1 5w30 and at start up oil pressure is right at 41-42, then in hot weather it will drop down to about 32 at idle. As long as it climbs back up as rpms climb I think it's ok. You can have the fans reset to come on at a lower setting to keep the engine running a little cooler and check the front of the radiator for any debris blocking it.

My car usually doesnt go much above 210deg's sitting still in the heat w/o the fans coming on but my oil pressure when hot out and after getting on it several times the oil pressure drops to 25psi aswell. My oil pressure is above 40psi on start up. The pressure rises very quickly. I think idle RPM plays a role aswell with mileage, oil type etc. I run 10w30 Valvoline in my car or Mobil 1 and the oil pressure is about the same. The 25psi doesnt concern me at idle. If it didnt rise up so quickly or didnt go all the way up over 60psi when on it i'd be concerned. just my opinion

I think he is talking about oil temps....and yes that is normal for those temps. The higher the oil temp, the lower the oil pressure. Mine will get that way if the ambient temp is 95 - 100 degrees and Im sitting in a traffic jam, its normal.

My oil pressure is right around 37psi hot, with the car idling around ~208-210 (coolant temp) according to the digital readout on the DIC.

Of course my car is a 2003 Z06.

I usually use the German Castrol and a K&N oil filter.
