Default C6 Questions.

On a 05 C6 M6 Coupe,

Whats the gear ratio?
(3.42?)

How much power/torque do they usually put down stock?

With the Z51 package, does the tranny have the same gearing as a C5 Z06?
(M12 t-56 I would like to say, correct me if I'm wrong)

Whats is the top speed?

Thanks for your input in advance.

Alex

Here is a link with a lot of the info you're looking for.

No...the gearing in the C5Z is different, I'm not 100% what the ratios are on the Z though

I believe the top speed is just over 190

Stock your looking at about 360/360 give or take.

Hope that helped a little.

3.42

186 top speed (stock)

~330-340 RWHP on a Mustang Dyno (depending on the dyno)

I was not to far off lol.

My Dynoed 380/380 with full exhaust, CAI and tune. My hp/tq numbers were just a half *** educated guess.

Here is some more info on the C6 if you have time to read a little.

My baseline was 336 and after adding exhaust inc. long tube headers with x-pipe, intake and a tune I also made 380.

I was under the impression, and heard from many people that the gearing IS the same (C6Z51 vs. C5Z06). Are you 100% certain? Not disputing, just seeing conflicting results here, and I'm very interested in knowing exactly.

RT

Also, the RWHP is going to be slightly less than 350/350 on the typical M6LS2.

The C6 Z51 does use the M12 tranny and is therefore geared the same as the C5 Z06.
