Default Cam questions. c5

I have a 2000 c5. Intake, exhaust and built tranny with stall. Looking for a good cam. I want it to be reliable and have decent street manors.

I have no idea what im doing when it comes to cam numbers so im going to ask. IS THIS CAM TO AGGRESSIVE?

Lift intake: .593 Duration 298°

Lift Exhaust .610 Duration 308°

LSA 114°

I wanted a gm hot cam or something very similar.

Thats a hard one to answer since people have different ideas of street manors. Also need more info about your set up, like how big a stall, gears etc. i'm sure others are better at cam numbers than me but do you have the @ 50 duration numbers? i know the lift numbers seem a little on the large side but then again I wish I would have went bigger then my 224/228 581/588 112 cam. My wife said she hates my car now and says it's way to hard to drive, to me it feels boring. i also have a Yank SS3600 and 3.73 gears.

I have 3.15 gears with a built A4. The stall is a yank 2800. I want something along the lines of the hot cam give or take.

Something like a Futral F11 would sound like what you want.

Street manors varies alot per person, per car, etc. There is no way a person over the internet can understand what you mean by street. If you want an absolutly stock feel stay with the the stock cam. The more extream you go, the power you get but give up drivability.

I think my cam is very dd friendly... 228R cam, there is alot of sewing machine noise upfront but w/e. It's very street friendly, except for the rare buck or surg...

Cams are cheap. Get the hot cam.... if you want more power get something bigger, and sell the hot cam. There will always be people wanting to buy a hot cam.

I think for what you are looking for it is a bit radical....you will have to change out many more parts to make that cam work, and maybe even fly cut the pistons due to the lift on the cam.....Go with a hot cam or something in similar range....but nothing over a 595 lift I would say and in the 23* range on intake and exhaust....and the exhaust being a little higher than the intake.....what is your future goal of power, add ons....that would also play a good part in what cam you do....
