Default fuel gauge?

Any one ever have a fuel gauge stop working? Car runs fine. Its a 99 c5 with 45000 miles on it.

Mine hanges on E if I let it get under a 1/4 a tank , and Stays down untill I fill up and then it works fine...

Nope, this happens on a ton of vettes, if you can run your tank till near empty, add a can of seafoam to the tank and add ~8 or 9 gallons of cheveron 93, you may have to do this 2 or 3 times but it will 80% of the time fix the problem, after it goes away do this every few months as a preventive maint. I have done this and its worked for me and countless others.

Seafoam cured the issue!! It took a few days of driving to cure after adding the can but, all is well ever since. Thanks. Glad to hear that no tank dropping was needed!
