Default 11.4's@124.48mph once again SHOOT ME!!!w/video

My FN car hates my freaking guts. Once again for the 5th time now my car will run 11.6's and the last pass of the day/nite will always ALWAYS be a 11.4x pass ranging from 124-126mph. Weather doesnt seem to freaking care. It was slightly cooler tonight and yet my car still ran the same as it has in 85-90degree weather. The only thing I did not do this time was put Torco Race fuel additive in at all. Usually when i get to the track with approx 10gallons in the car and dump one can of MACH series 114octane accelerator. Well sorry to bore you's yet again but heres the evenings pass's. However this time I took a friend took video to show you experts what i'm doing and maybe we'll figure out how to get those 1.5x 60fts the car should be cutting.

R/T .315 (crazy enough the other driver my friend had the EXACT same R/T)
60ft-1.814-Launched 5500rpm spun hard
330ft-4.996
1/8th-7.588
mph--96.72
1000ft-9.816
1/4mi-11.658
MPH--123.76

R/T .096
60ft-1.722-Launched at 5K rpms bogged hard
330ft-4.957
1/8th-7.560
mph--96.15
1000ft-9.785
1/4mi-11.622
MPH--123.95

R/T .236
60ft-1.700-Launched at 5500rpm spun sideways out of the hole and kept in it
330ft-4.843
1/8th-7.413
mph--97.12
1000ft-9.626
1/4mi-11.457
MPH--124.48

Video coming soon.

Are you running stock rear? I didn't think a stock rear could handle those hard launches.

What rpms are you at in 4th gear as you cross the 1320 ??

Awesome times. I hope I can put down what you just did. I have more power but I think the 3.42's are limiting me a bit. Ran a 12.3 at 121.6 my first time out on street tires and haven't been back since. I would love 124 mph trap at 11.4
Good luck on your next visit to the track and I'll contact with how I do.

Could you pm me some tips ?? I'd appreciate it thanks.

Running 4.10 built rear, with DTE trans/diff brace, and RPM billet diff cover with 2 bracing rods to it aswell. Hardened driverside output shaft. Textralia clutch assembly with all new hydraulics. So hopefully with the ET streets softening the blow and no wheel hup and no direct CLUTCH DUMPS or dead hooks I should be ok.

Allngn_c5 I'll send a pm in a bit. I'm looking to add video for input from people doing much better then me with about the same or less HP.

Should be able to get 1.5x's out of the ET Streets. getting them hot enough on first burn out, then to just smoking on subsquent burn outs? I do just short of a full dump and nail the throttlq as fast as I can, a best of 1.51 on ETs and allways spinning a bit which is good; no breakie. Good luck. you may find some usfull info in Ranger's launch tech write up.

Fartpipe, keep in mind that Rangers launch techniques are not for your setup.
They would probably work however.
Robert, you should know better.lol Your launch techn would be better suited for Bruce then Rangers.
Bruce, make sure your tires arent shot. I didn't see enough smoke from your burnout.

Tire pressure first pass 17psi hot-spun badly
Tire pressure 2nd pass 16psi hot-bogged
Tire pressure 3rd pass 15ps hot- spun but pulled 1.700 60ft

1st time I took the car to the track with this combo it went 1.69, 1.74,1.7s mostly All those 60fts were netted with 18psi hot and 17psi hot

2nd time I went a dropped the tire pressure to 15psi hot and the car swayed to bad to keep control and was hitting 1.72's with 11.48 times but at 126.12mph

3rd time I went I had the tire pressure pretty much at 17psi the entire time and ran 1.73's best with a 11.47@125.xx mph

ALWAYS IN THE F-N 1.7s and 11.4 is always the last pass.

I'm going to invest in some Bias ply front runner tires to keep the swaying down the track in check. Buying a box of Torco and run the car almost empty before i go down and dump one can in and fill up with 10-12gal's of fuel and drive down 1.5hrs. Then I'll drop the tire pressure to 14psi hot with a VERY HEALTHY burn out and launch at 5250rpm and let the clutch out quickly and snap the gas in. I'm also cutting about 1/2-3/4in off the damn B&M shifter and get that thing a little shorter to see if that will help some of the shifting. In the video I consider the shifting a bit lazy IMO. I'm used to my fbod shifters and Fox body mustangs. Where you sit over top the shifter more and I can hold the gas pedal to the floor and letter have it. Never blew a tranny or hurt one doing so as long as its done quickly and smoothly with letting off the throttle a 1/4 or less to burp it between gears have resulted my best results. The corvette is definitely a bit of a chore to row the gears quickly IMO.

I mentioned this on corvette forum. On one pass the RPMs went up nice and quickly but at 6,000rpms the tach jumped up to 6500rpm and back to 6100rpm and revved on out to 6700rpm. The jump was like a milisecond of back and forth. Anyone else experience this?? Is there a wire somewhere that may not be making proper contact??

I run all of my fast passes @ 10/13 psi. You'll get used to it, and yes it can be a wild ride for sure with radials on the front. Try it sometime with 10psi and 636rwtq on each shift, lol.

theres 3 things that killed your times, first is a +1500 D/A, second running at cecil county on a friday when traction is very limited, sunday is the best day for traction (competition day), third tire pressure, try running 12 pounds (hot) your car has a 10 second run soon
