New Addition to the Family
I just got back from picking up an early birthday present for myself...
I've wanted one since I was a kid but never thought I'd ever make enough money to afford one...Well, I really can't afford it but what the hell...
More outside pictures to come over the weekend. She is a 6 speed with Z51 and Dual Mode Exhaust.

Only took a week for my first mod. I bought the mild-to-wild remote system for the NPP exhaust and I love it. Gives the car a nice muscle car sound at idle and when accelerating but with a click of the remote it gets very quiet with no drone at highway speeds. The next mod will be removing the damn GM badges on the sides. After that I think I'll sit tight for a while and just enjoy the car the way it is.

Looks good, man! I'll be in the same position soon. I don't make quite enough, but it'll be worth it. That's a beautiful Vette. Can't wait to see shots out in the sun! Also, as a favour to me, could you post up a good picture of the gage cluster?

By the way, how's the Atomic Orange for the cops? I'm realy either wanting Black, LeMans Blue or Atomic Orange.. But I love going fast (Stupid fast), and I think that the orange will get me nailed too often..

Gorgeous car, and I love the AOM color! I like that color more and more; but I agree with Semper91-RS, I'd love to see more pics in sunshine...brings out ALL the colors of the atomic orange metallic! Congratulations!
BTW, what GM badges are you referring to wanting to remove? (the ones in front of the rear tires?)

I think he's referring to the ones infront of the rear tires, near the bottom, almost on the molding. Little tiny brushed steel "GM" square badges. I'd take 'em off too.

Actually I drive pretty tame most of the time. But give me a nice on-ramp or a long stretch of deserted highway and I'll get nasty once and a while..
I wanted black too but I know it is nearly impossible to keep black looking great. I had my choice of any color since my dealer had an 08 with the options I wanted in every color. It was actually a process of elimination that I wound up with AOM. If Electron Blue was still available I probably would have gone for that but I'm not a big Jetstream Blue fan (No offense to those who like this color).

Any ETA on the new shots? I'd love to see the interior, and some outdoors pics. Plus some of the gages! (That's a personal request.. I'd love to be able to use it as my background =) ) anyways, slick looking car, man.. This really helped me decide on whether or not to get a C5 or a C6 when I get mine.

I'll grab some interior shots tomorrow. I'll get some other outside shots tomorrow if the weather holds but it really needs a wash first. It will get the full outside Zaino treatment in a few weeks.
What got me thinking about a new C6 was that I actually was looking at a used 04 Z06 and it wound up that a new vette was actually a better deal financing wise and I also figured 436 was better than 405 HP wise. Add that to the fact that a HUGE Corvette dealer in the area was discounting new C6's at 5100 and had every color in stock and you wind up with a new C6 in my garage

That's a good situation, really. I've been browsing around, and the only thing I have at the local dealers is 2000$ cash back right now. I'm waiting for a while to see if I can get an 07 or 08 in early 2009. I've got a test drive lined up for a standard C6, auto for Friday, to get a feel for it.
