Default Video of my 10.21@136.12 run.

Here is the vid of my 10.21@136.12. The vid is a little shaky but the camera man got excited for me. Thanks again Lynn for taking the vids. The more I watch it the more I find my driving errors. I hit the limiter in first and second and if you look closely you can see my 3-4 shift right before the 1/8 then the cars goes towards the center line and there are black marks for about 20ft from tire spin. So I don't know what a clean run would have yeilded. I wasn't power shifting which is evident from the slow shifts. It looks to be running rich on the launch and on shifts as well. My computer crapped out on me right before I went to flash another tune in. There is more in the car and the combo isn't maximized yet. Once I get my driving down I think I can hit 9's at 137-8. This was only the second time to the track with this combo.

For those that missed my previous posts. The DA was about +220. I had about 3/4 tank of gas. I was leaving around 4,500rpm. This car is my daily driver.

Combo.

Congrats. With that kind of mph you should be able to hit high 9's. Good luck.

Thanks guys. You have got to love Ray the announcer. He get's excited. He also does call outs for people that don't even know he is doing it. He is a funny guy.

The goal is 9's all day long so I am working on refining the combo. Just out of cash right now. I am pretty sure there is another 15-20rw in the engine and exhaust and a 3.90 gear with a real drag pack should drop me down some.

I think the exhaust is called Next Phase or something like that. A buddy of mine found it for me since I wanted a quad tip exhaust. It is supposed to use the same mufflers as the Borla Stingers. I honestly think it is hurting me but we will see. If I can't wheel and deal a Big 3" exhaust I am just going to go cheap with some Flowtech cut outs. I am just not too fond of the cut out idea since this is my daily driver.

Just the right side? Isn't the driver's side usually the one that breaks? Either way, thats awesome and gives me hope because i'm planning on doing my own diff mods and didn't want to spend a ton of money on all the parts!

Congrats again..

PS, what was the 60' time?

Sorry, I meant drivers side. I was looking at it from the front when I said right side. The 60ft was a weak 1.51. I need more tire and gear.

Ahh ok gotcha!

That thing will really roll with a clean run and a gear swap.

Very cool that your track will let you run that fast with no roll bar and NO HELMET!

Nice times Bret.

Nice times Bret.
Yeah, they don't seem to care much about what you run or wear. They have no NHRA association which is nice. I think all the safety stuff is kind of silly in a car that I drive every day. It is much more dangerous daily driving it on the street if you think about it. Radials on pavement with others around. Just my opinion.

The other track down the road makes me wear a helmet. I had no idea how destracting that can be. There just isn't enough head room in the vette.
