Default New fastest dr car in the world

David Hance, 6.93 at 207. spun tires in high gear
4.66 to the 1/8, not backed up yet, see below. If I rememeber right this is on a MT 315 DR.

From Paul Major, talking about the run,

Just got off the phone with him they dropped a valve for the #6 hole this is the same problem he has been fighting for a while and all ways the same hole. They are going to pull it apart and see how bad it is and hopes to be ready for tomorrow.

It's got more left in it. It's trapped in the 220's. Congrats to David.

Last car ran pretty good

Im in no hurry to go really fast.

My wifes car will be out before mine is, it will be faster then my last combo but slower then my new combo. It will pretty much be my fun street/race car but her cruiser. It will be the fast car hahaha.

That run was insaine! The Vid of the 223 run was scary the way it jist tweaks around looking for traction.

BTW Dave bagged it for the weekend and is just running his Pro Mod car. That car is For Sale for anyone who wants to run it First drag Radial into the 6s!

Its a matter of time now before the class starts falling apart unless race organizers reel it back in. 95% of the racers out there don't have an unlimited budget like DH.

Yes, for the time being.....I don't see it staying 1/8 mile because IMO they will lose spectators.

With him selling the stang to run pro mod and saying "as most of you may know the drag radial car is and has been for sale....i cannot afford to run a 2 car operation like i've had in the past....the $$$ is just not there anymore so one must go"

Looks to me like he is saying he can't afford it so Id say he is not on an unlimited budget. Granted it could be the profit is no longer there (most likley) but I would really doubt that he has a bottomless wallet.

Have you seen how many engine problems he has had in the past 3 weeks? We're not talking about a $35k motor either, a normal person would have been out for 3-4 weeks after his first engine problem. Its a moot that I really don't care to debate.

What??? You think that he has no support or gets no deals on things like parts? has no REAL sponsors?

From what I have seen the issues are not big ones, I think once he had to tear the engine down, besides that it was just droping valves and smacking plugs.

You post up saying he has unlimited $$$ AFTER he posts that he does not then when someone argues it you say its a mute point that you don't care to debate?

Give me a break Phill.

look at his tow rig and his 57 promod car and tell me he's not unlimited.... ofcourse everyone has a limit at some point but the money he has in racing is quite enough to be considered "unlimited"

Everyone has their own opinion at what unlimited is.

Who cars wha this tow rig is and all. Look at all the T/F teams droping out due to lack of sponsors and money! Most would say they have an unlimited budget but they are droping like flies.

It droped a valve so yeah it lost some power but not enough to keep it froom spinning the tires.

So please explain to me how much damage occurs when you drop a valve in a 3000hp turbo big block? I guess you pull the heads and just throw another valve in right?
