Default 3 runs in the Z, blahhhhh.

Well, went to the test n tune, not really happy with the results, but my car is consistent I guess. This was in 50 degree weather, don't know what the humidity or anything else was. Had MT streets at 18-20 psi, the track was green and the car was walking on the far end, so I didn't lower them anymore.

1st run:
60 ft - 2.06
330 ft - 5.68
1/8 mile - 8.603
1/8 mph - 85.41
1/4 mile - 13.24
1/4mph - 104.68

2nd run:
60 ft - 2.07
330 ft - 5.67
1/8 mile - 8.58
1/8 mph - 85.56
1/4 mile - 13.19
1/4 mph - 106.42

3rd run:
60 ft - 2.05
330 ft - 5.66
1/8 mile - 8.58
1/8 mph - 85.70
1/4 mile - 13.21
1/4 mph - 104.93

Spun on the first two runs, my burnouts sucked. I was trying to get both wheels to spin instead of peg legging it. 3rd run I just went ahead heated up the tires regardless of which one spun. I actually hooked pretty good, I thought it was going to be a really good run. I think my stock stall and the lowered suspension is killing me. Couldn't get the car to come out of the hole. Probably should have let more air out of my tires, but oh well. The first two runs the cars I raced ran 12.7x, 12.6x, they yanked me out of the hole, but couldn't pull away from me once I got going. I actually started to reel them in a little, but it was too late.

Probably depends on your DA as well. The best 60ft I've ever hit was a 1.999 with my stock stall. This was with 16in snowflakes on street tires. My stock stall hates DRs....

I'm untuned with LTs, O/R Y, ECO, CB, FTRA, LID, LS6 Intake and PTB....I also have UMI ADJ LCAS/ PHB and relocation brackets...but they weren't on my car at the time

Try doing burnouts in 1st gear. What technique are you using to launch your car?

I get the best results from brake stalling [ holding the brakes and revving ] to 12-1300 RPMs and then punching it on the second Amber....

Before I got a stall I had to put it in first, if it shifted into 2nd the burnout was over.

I've seen some other posts where people have a hard time getting out of the 2.xx 60' range with the stock stall. I had my psi higher, higher than MT recommends. I still bogged on the third run. I think this just proves how much a high stall wakes these cars up.

I'm making good power, heck this car hits harder from a roll than my stalled 98 Z28 did. Wierd, I know. That car ran 12.6x - 12.8x range at the 106 mph. My car just can't get out of its own way with that stock stall.

PT4000 here I come...

if you peg leg your burnout then you didnt get enough water on your tires.

Yup, warm them up real good tho, if its spins at 30.. just lower it by 2 psi on your next run, on my crappy a4 i got a 1.91 with 30 on nittos, i guess its ok but only run once... didnt bog at all .. it just hooked... might hook better if i lower it a bit or it might bog, dont know yet.
