Default what are you guys running on motor with a 230ish cam only car??
i was wondering what the norm is for a cam only car with low 230s duration. please list time and mods!!

forever ago, i ran 11.59 @ 116 through a yank 4000 converter, 4.10 gears and 28x8 et drag. car went 1.51 60' time and was around 3500 lbs raceweight. i didnt have stuff like a FAST intake b/c they didnt exist. full exhaust ls6 intake boltons.

haha no real secrets, SS4000, nice torque/hp cam, properly choosen bolt ons, set up suspension, sticky mt drag radials, weight reduction, and nice DA...

i wonder how i'll do this season, should be interesting. only a few more weeks or work until it's ready to come out.

I ran a TR230/224 in my camaro, it had full exhaust and M6, 9", 4.10's, Ls6 int, ported TB,ET streets,3500 lbs. It ran around 11.90's on motor and 10.80's on a 150 shot.

3675 race weight, sway bar still on the front. stock front wheels. 232/234 cam. bolt ons and 3.90s i got 11.92 the da was around 500.
now i added slicks and skinnies, took off the front bar and added a ram air and 85mm lid/maf combo. i would like 11.7s

I'm in the 220's and have done the times below, if I can get my 60ft down, i know i could get a low 11.6/high 11.5 out of her.

when my dad had a 224/224 cam only with a 3000 stall he went 11.4s...

look at what some cars have run Stock Internal no heads or cam...top of the list is like 10.60s, i only ran a 11.55 at 116mph...so 11.4s arent that hard with a 224 cam...check out some of the top guys on the lists...no secrets, just attention to detail

i have a 228/232 588/595 cam with LS6 intake, headers, 4000 edge converter, midwest fab 9, sfc, well the rest is in the sig. NO NITROUS.. what do you think i can run, i dont want to strip the interior out. with the stock rearend my car weighed 3320
