Default have you logged raptor shift light??

I just got my raptor shift light in the other day. I made a data log with my efi-live to monitor some other stuff. I had the shift light set to come on at 6700figuring that by the time i shifted, i would be at 6900 (where i want to be) but on the log my max rpm was like 6544. Should i set the light up to 7k. Are they known to be behind like the stock tach since they read off the same wire??. I figured it would be quicker not having to change elec pulse to mechanical motion.
