mods
Lt's ORY slp lm1
Kn lid
ls6 intake
shift kit
nitto drags 245's on stock 16s
my first run was
reaction .5333
60ft 2.1185
1/8th 8.6660
1/4th 13.3785 @101.60
second run
reaction .3926
60ft 2.0844
1/8th 8.6163
1/4th 13.3498 @103.95
third run
reaction .3107
60ft 2.1256
1/8th 8.5942
1/4th 13.2642 @105.41
i have yet to look into a stall so i would stall it about 1200k, im not a newbie to the track just to a ls1 but im not dissapointed in the way it ran but i could use to pointers.

looks like the 60 is off and how stout is that shift kit, with those tires not heated up are you spinning when it hits 2nd?? I would say mph kept coming up cause it was grabbing 2nd better every time as the track got more use.

MPH should not change really unless the DA drops significantly. Spinning your MPH is usually higher but his 60s don't show that. And not 4mph worth regardless. A 4mph jump is significant...

well since it was it was my first time with my z at the track the first run i was sort of getting a feel for the car, out of the 3 passes i did. i didnt spin once my nitto hooked well
after the second pass i sort of got a feel for the car and i spent a few seconds burning up the wheels
and the 3rd pass i felt was the best i did i think i could of pushed my car a little more would of got a better time out of the night.
i did not drop it to first i just kept it in D the whole time,
my dad suggested the gear dropping and launching it in first but he was impressed that it did so well in d

looks like you need a tune by your mph, it will help you out alot and so your car wont detonated itself to death by runnin lean, flash that stock converter as high as it will go and launch that bad boy, you need to work on those 60's.

Launching!

One of my time slips from my STOCK A4 '02 Formula on 245 KDW's I just found reads,
rt-.382
60ft-2.039
1/8th-8.690
1/4-13.297@106.04
This was my avg time really. This is how I would prep, stage and launch,
Pull up around the water(if possible) then reverse back into the water so my back wheels were in it only and not the fronts.
Start burning out for a good 5 seconds then let the brake go slowly so the car would start moving up and then punch the gas all the way and release the brake all the way so my burnout carried me out of the water onto the dry track. Key is to make sure you can burnout long enough to get to the dry part cuz if your tires are still wet after the burnout its useless pretty much.
I would get to the line and powerbrake up to somewhere between 1400-1600rpms. Thats the highest I could go without spinning off the line with those street tires.
Once im staged and and the lights started flashing, id wait for the second set of lights to flash and then i'd start releasing the brake and hitting the gas and by the time the green came Id usually get a good reaction time. Key for me was too basically roll off the line as if I was slipping a clutch and not just punch it but from your time it seems like you know that already.
Doing this got me from a 14.5@101 by just rolling threw the water and then just punching it off the line. I dropped 1.3 seconds and gained 5mph by doing what i just said with a stock car. Hope something I posted helps you out, lol.
