I really expected the vette's to be faster...even on the vette forums the LS3 bolt on list is pretty sad compared to our lil ole 347 and 1970's designed chassis.

Well....the vette crowd paid alot more for their car typically. Most would rather talk about their h/c combo and roll into cruise night sounding good than concentrate on getting their car to accelerate. Most aren't gonna chuck their big nice brakes for race brakes, gut their cars, drop the exhaust to get that ultimate et out of their car.

but ls3 vettes are very capable. Ask me how i know.

My own crate ls6 coulda been put on the list years ago but i didn't bother because it's in a camaro. I have since put roller rockers on it but for some reason the ls list looks down on this. But it's ok for the old lt cars, tpi cars and fox 5.0s.

maybe we need just a stock heads and cam list so development of bolt ons continue. Because parts and innovation has evolved to extract more power and better acceleration.

Definitely true...I mean the bolt on C6 Z06 list #1 is only 11.21!!! I see a C5/LS6 or C6/LS7 in my future!

I'm game for a stock heads/cam list. Swapping stock 243's for 241's and tossing in a Z06 cam. Rockers/springs/P/R allowed too, and maybe rod bolts lol?

c6 ls3 are fun to. My buddy just went 10.5@131.x with his stock heads stock cam. It does have 1.85 rockers and good springs for safety on over revs and to accommodate the rockers. We also put a crank scraper on it. Just trying to utilize what gm gave us .
but it keeps him off the list trying to explore these options that actually further development. Same with my ls6.
