7/31 - Milan Drags
Another good 10 hrs of drag racing Friday night. In that time you see lots of things. Some are expected some aren't. The Roush cars weren't there. None of last months winners in the classes, I follow, won this month. It was still fun.
The other day I mentioned I had seen a few cars bounce of walls this season. Unlike NASCAR, I don't go there for the crashes. I don't like to see cars crash. Unfortunately, it's part of racing. Many of these cars are racing at or near their limits every race. So, when you build a car - built it safely!!
Most folks at LS1 might be interested in the 10.5 and drag radial class. 15 cars began the 10.5 class. Best et was 6.8261 @204.34. 15 cars also began the D/R class. Best et. 7.4530 @196.63. Turley qualified third Koehler 10th. In my opinion Steve was on a great run in session two and pulled the laundry at 1,000.' My guess is something spooked him. He also had the best reaction time for the class. There is a Caprice wagon that runs in this class. Normally, he stands it on it's back bumper. This week he nailed a 7.6942 @189.70.
Another class they run is bike and sled. 7.2610 @200.72 was the quickest. Two sleads dipped into the 7's. I had never seen that...............
Hats off to anyone racing on any drag strip. Takes money to build a quick safe car. The more seat time you get the better you'll be. Have fun be safe - you never know when we'll be watching

Yes Sir I did thanks. Milan and Norwalk are worth the drive once a month. Have a little Outlaw Street Event Sunday. It's only 1/8 mile and pays 1K to win DR.
I've just about give-up talking Drag Racing here. I already talk to myself so why waste the effort posting?
This Outlaw Event has a cute statement on their web page.
"Shut Up and Race"
Following the House Cars, these three events, and Thursdays T/T. I get all the racing I want.
