Thumbs up Live from the LSX Shootout: POLLUTER Cam Only Times!

Finally got some decent times out of our Cam-Only Shop Car. After fighting suspension issues at the LSX Shootout last year, we're back this year with a new setup and it's running very well!

STOCK 1999 LS1 Shortblock with Katech Rod Bolts, Stock untouched 241 heads, Edelbrock intake and The Polluter, our flagship camshaft. 3020lb raceweight and -716 DA. Jonathan@Tick is rowing one of our Level Three EXTREME Viper T56 Rebuilds to the following:

60': 1.455
1/8: 6.735
1/4: 10.568
MPH: 127.92

This was our first pass of the day, so hopefully we'll be able to improve as the weekend progresses. Currently, our 10.568@127.92 is good for 9th on the cam-only list.

We're vending here as well, so if you're here, feel free to stop in and say hi!!

nice times guys, looks like you caught some good air too...and i am pissed you bumped me off my spot...

looks like i am going to have to lose 230lbs and reclaim it haha...

i think there is more in that setup...does it have every bolt on

the baro is going up there too...so you will only get faster as night fall sets in...

Good luck guys,
Super victor that hasn't been ported...just as it came out of the box. Got an accel 1200 cfm 4 barrel throttle body with no filter and sd tune.

The ports on the intake are a good bit larger than the factory ports on the heads already, but it still makes decent power...

Congrats...great numbers. So you think the Super Victor is worth more than a FAST 92 on a cam only setup?

5.00 gears. We're launching at 7800 rpms off the two step and shifting at 7400 rpms. Its crossing the traps at around 7600 I think.

And before anyone asks, it does have katech rod bolts on an otherwise stock shortblock with the original rings, bearings, etc. The engine has around 55,000 miles on it if I recall correctly.

Heres the numbers for the last and best pass of the day:

r/t .044
60' 1.471
330' 4.335
1/8 6.73 @ 102.24
1000' 8.804
1/4 10.555 @ 128.14

We're using a Mcleod soft-loc. The tires are 28x11.5 et drags. No new best this morning, but we did put down 130.39 mph coasting to a 10.614 win in the first round. I'd love to put down some 10.40's or better but I'd rather win lol (were running the 10.50 index).
