Default Ran the 1/8 in the ole' LT1 for the first time today, happy with results.

Mods: LS1 lid conversion, Hooker shorties & ORY, LM1, Madz tune, Yank 3k and 3.73 gears and 190k on the clock

Could only launch ~2k and even then the 315s would not hook up. Should I be running faster?

EDIT: Im the left lane

With an LT1 ,gears and a Yank 3k your 60's should be a lot better (1.7-1.8) .Get a set of drag radials and your times should show a nice improvement

please don't buy nitto's. you'll be severely dissappointed. get you a good set of bfg's or m/t's and let it fly. i realize that if you're using the tires for both the street and the strip, that the nitto's have a longer street life, but they just don't work well on the track.

even better would be to get some dedicated wheels and a m/t et street radial, or a hoosier full slick

That is a good running LT1 you have.I had a 97 WS-6 with Vig 3200,LT's/ORY, w/n cats,Tune,373s 17x9.5 TT2s on front and 17x11 TT2 with 315 summintos. My best was this. I left off Idel flashing the converter it ran its best..It still spun alittle..
