lt1 vs ls1

On the street most properly drove 2vs will be right there with an ls1 up to about 35mph or so. Of course, because of traction issues.
The lt1 if properly driven should get the ls1 out of the hole on the street. The ls1 will spin, no question about that. The 2v doesn't make the same power as an lt1 and is the reason it will drop back at a much lower speed than the lt1 would.
We are talking about lt1s though, no reason to bring up any other platform.

I don't believe we were talking about 2vs... But I'll play your little game.

An lt1 will usually be right with/beat an ls1 to about 50mph or so. Has nothing to do with anything but traction issues on the ls1s part.
They definitely lack top end, most platforms do.

Tires will play the biggest role. . if one has drag radials and the other doesn't it will be bye bye. I recently beat 2 bolt-on ls1's 0-100 because I had drag radials and they did not.

go from like a 25-30 roll and if you can keep the ls from spinning from there you will keep pulling on him the hole time. Also if you have 2.73's and he has 3.23's he will probably keep up with you a little better. My hotcammed lt1 could barely keep up with my ls1, thats when the ls1 was bone stock

I've seen some quick LT1 cars but most were dogs. I had a freak that ran low 13's with headers and some other bolt ons but that's not very common. Ls1's are usually in that range from the factory anyway though.

Ls1's are just so much faster out of the factory. I modded the **** out of my lt1 just to beat stock ls1's. And once I would run into a decent running ls1 with a few bolt-ons I would get my *** handed to me. Not right for a cammed lt1 to be getting smoked by lightly modded ls1's. And so now today I am much smarter and just own an ls1
