Not to happy with cam install new track numbers
Edited:::::::: listed all 3 runs
Well I installed chrs1313 old cam only setup 230/230 el torro. And the 85mm MAF and fast toys lid. Car is on 17" chrome ZR1's. Ill list all 3 runs best to worst
Before the cam/maf/lid swap
1.607 60ft
7.709 @ 87.841 1/8 mile
12.183 @113.276 1/4 mile
After cam swap/maf/lid and tune
1.622 60ft
7.524 @ 91.419
11.824 @ 114.727
1.801 60ft
7.782 @ 91.066
12.083 @ 117.600
1.898 60ft
8.121 @ 89.722
12.462 @ 116.899
VEry little difference in the 60' and DA was probably lower tonight. Car doesnt seem to pull as hard as it did before the cam swap. When it was just a bolt on car it made 309RWHP with cutout CLOSED thru flowmaster. After cam swap it makes 387 RWHP cutout open. Its going back to the tuner for idling issues. Does these numbers seem right? I only 3 tenth and 1 mph with cam swap??????

you gained pretty close to what I did on the dyno...
when I went cam only, 230 cam, FTP 85mm lid & 85mm maf I gained about 70rwhp...but I didn't have a before dyno, I did it by what my mph changed at the track...it jumped about 7mph~70rwhp...
something seems up, maybe the timing system is off...
dyno is about right but the MPH is not there...my guess is the DA was alot more different than you remember...113mph for a SI car is really movin, but 114 for a cam only car is down quit a bit...not sure what to think bud, unless it for hurt after the dyno sometime...

You were moving when it was bolt ons that is for sure. Like noted above, you are losing some on the back end for some reason. It seems you picked up some nice MPH in the 1/8th though.
I feel your disappointment though. When my car was bolt ons only, without LS6 intake it was trapping 110 and that was leaving soft out of the hole due to terrible wheel hop. I added cam (231/232 .612/.588 111+4, similar to yours), LS6 intake, and tune, and my car trapped mid 113's at best but the DA was over 2000, not sure what it was when I ran with bolt ons.
It is probably something minor that you will get figured out. When my car was dyno'd I wasn't getting wide open throttle and it put down 387/384. Found that out later though. I fixed my throttle cable, added a ported TB and underdrive pulley then. Took the car back to the track and it still trapped 113 but the DA was over 3000 at that time. I am guessing I picked some power up. I am waiting for better air this fall to take it back and see what it does now.
Good luck though man. I wish my car was like other peoples, just throw mods at them and they fly. Seems like there is always something wrong.

Something is wrong somewhere thats why my car is still stock internals running 11.88 @ 113.50 w/ no weight reduction and i have LS-6 heads and a 228/228-588/588 Comp Cam & Springs but afraid it wont run that much better.

You can plug the info into a calculator such as this one
http://www.tciauto.com/Pages/418/calculators.aspx
the proper converter slippage should be under 8% or so. If its higher your converter or trans are going. I'd guess and say the trans seeing as its stock but I'm not an expert.

Exactly my thoughts.. The car is laying over on the top end.
60' slowed down .015
1/8 ET Gained .185 with 3.649mph
1/4 ET Gained .359 with 1.451mph
What do you have for a fuel system? Perhaps it's not keeping up on the big end?
Is your converter locking up? Is it locking up in the same place as it did before? If so, perhaps adjust it's lock up points. I've seen my own truck loose .3ish and 4mph by not locking the verter up. Now I do have an 80E with a very inefficient verter.
Do you have a way to data log your runs? If so, Did you data log the run?
Did you make more than one pass? What do those look like.

stock everything fuel system. Car runs great on the dyno all the way to 6400. Lock up points should be the same thing as before. I made 4 passes this was the best one, like stated before i did get a 117 mph pass but the 60 was a 1.80. I dont have anyway to datalog my runs.

what rpm you crossed the line at, stock tach isn't perfect but it should get you close enough. Trans ratio in 3rd is 1.00 If you didn't take note of the rpm at the end this is useless though. Check your trans fluid and see if it smells burnt, I assume you have a trans cooler? How about temp gauge? You say the car felt sluggish, how so?

lots of good advise...it might be reading knock on the launch and it didn't read any on the 1.8 60ft pass due to a softer launch...see if the headers or exhaust are causing kr...need to data log though...
trans might be slipping on the topend, but I would think that would show on the dyno
edit...now thinking about it the kr would affect the 1/8 mph too...I got a feeling it might be the trans...
good luck man

If it is the trans thats kinda odd, but i know its not out of the question car run great before cam swap/tune. Im wondering if the torque management has anything to do with it. When it was stock the first tuner left the torque managment in it. After the cam swap the new tuner removed it, any insite on that?

what was your 1/8th mph on the 117 pass?
looks like the trans when looking at the slip you posted. you'd think tq management would affect it more on the first half, not the last..
i'd guess something in the drivetrain, trans or converter. the mysterious 117 pass is odd though.
