Default Broke into the 11s....

My previous best was a 12.25 @ 115 with a 1.90 60' on my old 10 bolt with 4:10s and 26" nittos last year with power shifting. I have changed a few things since then....

removed sway bar, a/c, bumper supports, few other small things
added a 9" with 4:56 gears. spool
28" mt radials
chris13131 ram air kit from speed inc

Ran the car tonight and could only manage a 11.94 @ 118 with a 1.76 60' without power shifting.

I spun on every run and bogged on a few. Mainly because the drag radials can't handle the clutch dump or there was too much psi in them. I put them at 21 psi when i left. I didn't have a gauge so I didn't let very much out at all at the track. My ls7 clutch hates me. My first run (12.9 @ 101) I missed 2nd and 4th because the clutch didn't want to go into gear. I'm on stock shocks with strano springs. Not a very good setup. I'm either going with qa1 shocks/springs or getting some konis to go with the stranos. Not sure how well that combo will work at the track though.

Plans for next year....

New custom cam
Tune
New shock spring setup
2 step
15x10 wheels with slicks or et streets
Monster clutch
Fast 90/92---Maybe..
Line lock
More weight reduction

Shooting for low 11s/high 10s

If I launch at anything over 4k I spin. Anything under and I bog. I'll go back next midnight madness and take a tire guage with me and see if lowering the psi to more than 20 will do anything.

You need to lower the tire pressure. Thats too much. Bring it down to 17 atleast and see what happens. My bolt on car 60's in the high 1.5's. Go with QA1's and their springs in the front and factory rear springs.

BTW your clutch has no problem with the motor, it is your hydraulics. No need to throw another clutch in there. Just buy the adjustable master cylinder from Tick performance and you will be golden.

Congrats, awsome MPH too!!! Get yourself some ET Drags and a 2-step and you've got a good chance of running 11.50s SI. Your LS7 clutch might be a little angry with you though. Any idea what your car weighs now and are you still running a stock rear swaybar?

I'm going to get something I KNOW can hold the power. A Monster 3 or 4 clutch with a tick master. Still rocking the stock sway bar. Going to weigh the car someday soon.

It's 135 bucks to race at lsx shoot out for 3 days. Not going to go. Not cheap, just don't have extra money for that.

I have 15x8 wheels now. Do they make a et drag or slick that will fit my wheel? 26 or 28"

You need a bias ply tire for sure. I had the same problem running drag radials back when I was 6 speed, it was bog or spin at 4300, use to **** me off. They do make a MT Drag that will fit your wheel.
