Default Some questions about some runs last night..

Took off the front swaybar, no mufflers this run(open x-pipe), and 17inch wheels now from the 16s... MPH went down by 1.5. ET and sixty foot remained the same, 13.1 ET and 2.0 sixty. No feelable/visable wheel spin or wheel hop with these new wheels/tires.

Is it the no mufflers hurting the pass or could it be the 17 inch wheels with large diameter street tires?(no tune yet)

Just trying to learn

I would wager it is the tires. No increase in Overall Diameter but simply the weight ends are not only heavier, they are rotating which can be as much as 3 times the static weight @ speed.

On a stock tune the extra vibration of the exhaust could be causing false knock and retarding timing. I had to turn mine off completely when I installed the cam due to extra vibration. just a thought?
