60ft help
All night last night I was pulling 1.90-2.3 60fts. I have MT drags on a set of snowflakes... I'm doing a small burn out and reving the car to 1,000rpms and then pedal to the floor and spinning.. If i don't rev it a little, my car crawls off the line and I still pull 1.90 60fts.. any advice?? My best run was a 12.90 @ 107 w/ a 1.99 60ft.. this is also the first auto car i've drag raced

Do a big burnout. Make sure the smoke is rolling off the tire nicely. i cut consistent 1.60 to 1.63 60' on et streets with my lowered suspension and 3800 stall.... and i am spinning out of the hole according to the logs. i know with some suspension mods and installing the 3.73's over my stock 3.23s and fully hooking up i could get that down to a low 1.5 and im a full weight WS6 (heaviest f-body made) minus AC and im big 6'5" SOB that doesnt help with the weight haha...
Also i pulled a 1.81 60' and ran a 7.77 in the 1/8th on my worn out 5 year old street tires... so i know you can get a better 60' then a 1.9 on MT's... Gotta be honest though without a aftermarket stall converter im really surprised your having traction issues with et drags. With my stock stall i couldnt spin my et streets for anything.

What psi are you leaving at? I get my best results from leaving at idle by flashing the converter. Play with different psi, don't run low psi on a radial tire. You can even unbolt the swaybar for more transfer and see if that helps.

i have a buddy with M/T et street radials who insists the magazines best times with radials is running 12-13 psi. I told him i run 17 psi in my BIAS PLY! he refuses to listen so i continue to let him wonder why he cant get better then a 1.71 60's after he put in full drag suspension, then a new clutch (other one must be slipping...lol), and then finally 4.30 gears. Radials need pressure more pressure for sure. this is in a mustang fox BTW

i run with 17psi in them...
If I did it from a dead idle, the car doesn't have any traction issues, but it crawls off the line.. I can rev to 1,500 rpms and let go and they spin like crazy.. my last run I did was horrible.. I had to let off and then get back in twice cause my rear was going crazy..
