Default New Personal Best Time, C5 Vette

This is my new personal best at Irwindale 1/8mi 7.28 @ 96.58mph...spinning. I know 1/8mi aint all that but we really dont have a good 1/4mi track in SoCal or one thats readily available to the public. I use the 1/8mi track to gauge the car and have found that most race calculators for 1/8-1/4mi are fairly accurate. This would be around a 11.35-11.39sec run. This is with the car slammed (less than 2in from ground) and with 3.42 gears. All motor, no juice. On a later run, I was losing traction with a cooler track but was able to beat a Hennessey V700 2011 CTS-V Coupe by a car.

Sorry for the crappy picture

nice time! my best is a 7.37 et and 93 mph on motor and 7.26 @ 95 with a 50 shot (hitting the rev limiter because trans wouldnt shift). how much power you making and whats your setup? I know the c5 is a lot lighter then my ws6 but just curious Also dont go asking for the 11 sec club, it needs to be on a 1/4mile track... lol....

anyways im shootin for 6.7's 6.8's next year full weight (minus a/c) when i get my FLT trans and a fuel system for a 125 shot on top of the power i have now. hope i can get there. going to the dyno tomorrow to see what this combo is putting down over the tr220 cam i had before.

Well the car already ran an 11.5 @ 122mph but Ive done more tuning since, thats why I was testing it at the 1/8mi track. I have TFS 215 heads, 237/243 112lsa cam, forged pistons and I-beam rods, FAST 90, 3600 Yank and 3.42s. The car is slammed and doesnt get the 60ft times it used to tho. I have yet to dyno this setup with this tune but if the HP calculators are close it should be 488-500rwhp, depending on drivetrain loss. This car is setup for fast hi-revs and has awesome top end since thats what I was aiming for. It really wakes up north of 100mph. I have it shifting at 7000rpm to be safe but it could do 7400 all day no problems. Btw car weights 3250 without me in it. I run a 30% e85 mix with 91oct...I still have a meth pump setup on the car I was playing with when I was 91oct only but e85 is way easier, cheaper, and does a great job of preventing knock/detonation.
