Average H/C/I LS1 ?
This question might seem stupid to some, but I'm really curious.
What does the average Heads,Cam,Intake LS1 run with a proper setup and no serious weight reduction ?
I have seen Cam only full weight cars trap 119mph in the 1/4 and I have seen H/C/I full weight cars only trap 113mph.
So what does the average properly setup LS1 Fbody run with a decent H/C/I combo run at sea level ?

I'd say average full weight sea level H/C/I car with supporting mods should be 120 mph +. If you have decent rear end, clutch, torque converter, tires and what not 120-126 mph is attainable depending on heads / cam. My car for example is pretty mild / budget, 3700lb raceweight 224 cam with unported 243 heads, yet in the middle of summer @ 2400' elevation (3900' DA) has ran around 117-118 mph. If I ran at sea level on a cool day I'd expect around 122-124 mph. I don't see why a larger cam setup with a quality CNC'd head would not run even harder.

Thanks Nitroused383. Thats the kind of information I was looking for.
I'm right at sea level, and I hope to break 120+ mph traps with the following...
227/233 custom cam
Ported LS6 243 heads
LS6 intake
plus supporting mods.
Right now im at 402/378 cam only so I think its doable.

new setup is about to go on.
227/233 custom cam
Trick flow TFS 215 heads
Fast 92mm intake ported to match the heads w/ 92mm throttle body
FTP 98mm Lid, Z06 85mm MAF
Chris1313 ram air
If I don't trap in the 120 -124 mph range i'm going to be pissed. I don't care about ET right now because i'm still on a 10 bolt rear.
MWC 9" should come this fall.
p.s. My track is at sea level.

The track I run at is about 100ft above sea level according to my GPS. I normally trap 119-120 mph in the 1/4 but I've been hitting high gear before the 1/4 mile line. I just changed to 28" tires. I should lose a little in the 1/8 but I should pickup in the 1/4. Suppose to run Saturday. I'll let you know the difference. My car is full factory weight and I weigh over 300#s.

I ran a 12.15 @ 119.1 MPH with a 2.0 60' on the POS 10 bolt. Not wanting to grenade it I left soft and it pretty much bogged. Stellar trap speed with a crap ET. I ran at full weight (Not sure of exact #) except no spare tire and jack. Still have washer fluid in it. The MWC 9" that's arriving soon should remedy the ET. Unsure of what the DA was either.

There are alot of aftermarket heads and cam combos with Fast intakes that dont even trap 120 being manuals at that. Some do some dont, but for an auto its thats much more harder to achieve that 120 trap especially with a automatic with an ls6 intake at full weight.
