first time with the Z28 at the track....
Well, I normally take my Turbo Buick to the track, but due to some upgrades not getting done in time, I took the Z28 instead.
A4 with 2.73's, Hooker LT's and ORY, Corsa exhaust, SLP lid, Predator tune, BMR LCA's and panhard bar.
With the BFG super sport all seasons down to 16 psi and a 2600 RPM launch my best time was 13.04 @ 108 with a 1.94 60' time. I was a little disappointed, but didn't really expect too much, since I'm pretty weak in the mods department. I tried everything to get into the 12's....took out the spare and jack, did a longer burnout, shorter burn out, higher RPM launches, etc...nothing worked.
I know the tires and gears are holding me back, as well as the stock converter. My buddy and I were discussing whether the y pipe banging the floor right off the brake and on the 1-2 shift would cause false knock enough to affect the times...any thoughts?
