Real Performance Motorsports in Lewisville TX (now out of business) went 5.97 before shooting the axels out the next pass.

It's not something I would ''go after''.

it should really only be a 60ft record...that is all that matters...throw a 10 bolt in a twin turbo big block and leave the line with a 1.8 60 ft and it will still be single digits...

the hard thing on a 10 bolt is the lower 60ft...

now are we talking modified 10 bolt or 100% untouched stock 10 bolt???

on a 100% stock untouched posi 10 bolt with 3.23 gears I went a 1.38 60ft...but there have been others that have gone lower...oh and it lasted about 8-10 passes in that range before it chipped some spider teeth...

mine could only stand 3 low 1.5 passes, then again my car is 3700lbs so I'm sure that killed it.

I do not know who is the fastest but I am willing to wager its a Forced Induction car which has a back half gain that sets the world on fire.
