Default First trip the 1/4 mile. Not sure if I should be happy or upset...

Well, finally got the car to the 1/4 mile after the new build.
Here are the results:

60' 1.948
1/8 8.257@86.85
1/4 12.671@112.96

Mods: MS3 cam, PRC Stg 2.5 heads, pacesetter headers, gutted cats, magnflow catback, M6, stock 10 bolt with 3.42's, and street tires. Also on stock injectors that I realize are max with this setup.

What do you guys think? Does this seem about right for what I got or should I be worried about something? I was spinning a good bit. Just wanted to get some opinions.

limiter is set at 6500 which seems a bit low. it was having a hard time hooking up. also having a hard time getting into gear, so wasn't able to shift all that fast/smooth... just trying to get some ideas. i figured the stock injectors were a huge limiting factor as well. but i'm not sure, that's why i'm asking.

You're down a full second and around 8 mph, so something is definitely wrong. Shift points too low (tune), crappy driver (no offense) mechanical issues? Your car will benefit with less gear, but it still should run alot better than what's it running, even with the 3.42s you have in there now. Street tires aren't helping neither. You need drag radials, but that 10 bolt won't last long after that in a M6..

Fuel Pump & Injectors ... You know your problem !! Btw how was those street tires holding ?? ... M6 z a lot of trouble to get traction on stock suspension !! Don't be sad about those numbers, work on your fuel system once & don't spend twice !! I see lost power everywhere from exhaust wise fuel & tune wise, not to mention stock maf, TB, ...

have the 255 pump, just need the injectors. the tires suck! haha. running an SD tune, so the MAF isn't a factor. As for the exhaust, do you think the Magnaflow is choking it up?

did you really spin that much? i went 8.29 @ 87.9 in an m6 with basically a dead hook and only a slight spin going 1-2.

the car seems terribly slow given the mods. i achieved the aforementioned time with a whisper lid and weld in 80 series flowmaster, stock 99 m6 car.

.1 reduction in the sixty = roughly .2 off your et

With a tire you should be around a 1.6-.7. That puts you at about an 11.9. Factor in that you said you had pro less shifting, take off another .2. Now you are at an 11.7, pretty average time. Mph is low though, which could be an indication of how much you were really having a problem getting it in gear or the DA.

What was the DA?

Fuel pump isn't going to do anything. Injectors will help but not for such a poor time.

DA was around 660. I'm really hoping I can chalk it up to my shitty driving and tires. I'm running Sumitomo HTR-Z 2's that have been heat cycled MANY times, autocrossed, been to the tail of the dragon, and drag raced A LOT even before the build... A little added info, I ran door-to-door with my friend's 2004 intake/orh and full exhaust, aftermarket FMIC, pullied and tuned cobra from 50-120mph.

That 1.9 60' ain't cutting it.

Sixtoes1313 went on a Fridaynite TNT an was spinning to an 11.8 ET (So he said ) and we went Saturday TNT (unknown to me he got extra practice) With the good track prep, a dead hook, and a decent run went 11.5's and with a little cool down went 11.32....So YES it should go faster with a decent hook. Get the 60' down !!!

Looking at you MPH (although you spun) looks like about a 11.8 or 9 run.

How much would the fact that i was running about 15 psi in my tires affect the times/trap speed?

Nevermind the ET for now. A crappy 60' and 15 tire psi is NOT gonna kill your trap by 8+ mph! You should be trapping around 120 mph with a h/c m6. First, get some tires and try the driver mod (better driver) to see if that's the issue.

Your ride will benefit with less gear (numerically more) with that MS3 also, unless you plan on spraying a nice size shot in the future.

I'm not too worried about it. The gear and tires are happening this month and the injectors and retune. And as far as the driver mod, , I can fix that. Ill get that launch down. I really appreciate all the input guys!

415/360 through cats and maxed injectors and a 90+ IAT (broken hood strut wouldn't let the hood stay open on dyno)

Street tires don't change psi.. drag radials usually around 16-22.. slick usually around 12-15 psi.

Having that little of hair hurt you.
