Default First time at the track

First time ever drag racing this car and I am pretty pleased with the results for the first time out with street tires. "Launching" @ 2500rpm and spinning 1 and half of 2nd with wheel hop. I was running on Goodyear all seasons at 30psi.

Do you think she has 12's in her if I can get my 60' down?

Best run of night:

DA 588

60' 2.080
1/8 8.777 @85.3
1/4 13.401 @108.07
(corrected with DA Calc 13.339 @ 108.538) I know this doesn't count

The rest of the night was pretty consistant 13.5s between 106.x-108.xmph with 2.2-2.3 60's spinning.

Your speed tells me your capable of running a 12.3 - 12.5 IF you get traction and a good launch.

I run 12.3 @ 107

You need slicks or some good sticky street tires

I knew that traction was going to be an issue. My buddy wouldnt let me borrow his slicks so that is all I had. This was basically just to get a feel for how the car was going to act. It wil be while before I go again.

Here is my list of improvements to the car needed:

Subframe conectors
Cheater slicks (M&H or ET Streets)
Adjustable tq arm and relocation bracket

I was saving up for a cam but want to dial the car, get consistant times with traction before I do any power mods.

Don't put slicks on your car-you may break the rear.
Work on your launch-you have a 12 second car

that s60 needs some m/t et streets, 15 psi, a nuclear burnout, and a rev limiter dump to shine.

get to it.

i can see a low 12, possibly high 11 if you have good enough air. don't pussyfoot, hit those tires and drop the hammer!
