What RPM should car cross Trap at?

1-2 shift at 6400-6500 2-3 6400-6500 and finishing the 1/4 at around 6000 rpm at 113-115 mph. 1.65-1.7 60',11.7-11.8 times. I think I should be at around 6200-6500 rpm at the end?

Looking for some comparsions or input?

Stock LS1 Engine, LS6 Heads /Cam(224/224 .581 lift), Automatic with 3200 Stall, 3.23 Gears.

At 6500 rpms I am going through the traps at about 140 mph on a 28 tire and 373 gear.

i,m doing around 6100 rpm thru the line @142.8mph 27.3 inch tyre 3.45s in the diff!!!doesn,t power versus weight come into this if you had more power or less weight you would effectively reach a higher rpm and more mph if your gearing allows??? say you went up to 3.45s or 3.7s you would in thoery get there quicker and be revving higher thru the finish but only at a similar mph due to gearing change!!!???? cheers

Weight has nothing to do with this. It's all about converter efficiency. The op has an inefficient converter. Lots of slip out the back.

i knew that converter efficency affected your 1/2 track mph to your 1/4 mile mph but thought if you had more power would overcome the lack of rpm thru the line!! anyway here to learn as much as possible and be stand corrected when needed!!! cheers back to the op what is your 1/2 track mph compared to finish???

We are a little over 7000 rpm in the traps and thought that our weight of
3700+ was at least partially responsible for our times not being better.

I can stop trying to get our weight down now.

Never realized our converter was so ineffecient!

Yeah that converter is pretty inefficient. At 6000 RPM w/ 3.23s im at 130 MPH and my converter is loose as *****.
