Default First 1/4 Mile Passes Ever(94 T/A A4)

Went out to Bremerton Raceway with some buddies to take advantage of the beautiful weather. Ive run probably close to 100 passes 1/8th mile but never attempted a 1/4 since Dallas is limited on TNT opportunities for 1/4 mile tracks.

The car:
1994 T/A
A4
190k+ miles

Mods:
K&N

Best time
60ft 2.08
330ft 5.91
660ft 9.08@77.14
1320ft 14.15@97.14

Like I said not much but gave me the motivation to mod the old heap.

I think the mileage on my car has something to do with the mph being one off from yours but I honestly think I could run 13.99 or better if I could just hook on street tires(fat chance). Not sure what .08-.1 of 60 ft difference would do for my 1/8th mile and subsequently my 1/4 mile times. Maybe .2 off my 1/8th and .3 off my 1/4.

On a better note I did get a .010 rt and stay in front of a 05 Mustang GT. Made me feel good.

Just a few bolt-ons from mid 13's. Good to see a high mileage LT1 still running somewhat decent times!

3.42 gears, Tune, CAI, shift kit, exhaust, and you should be in the low 13's no problem. Throw in a stall and get some 12's.

Already has CAI but Im getting some 555R's before long.

After that:
-EWP
-AC/PS delete short belt
-Trans cooler in anticipation of the converter swap

Before the converter swap being able to hook it should run 13.7s if I get the same air. Sucks the local track has such a long wait time between runs. I fell asleep in the pit area last saturday.

IMO id use the money on something else than a EWP..go with a 180 stat and other mods, during the tune, have ur fans come on earlier temp wise..BTW what gears are u running?

Good time man! I just picked up another LT1 last month and took it too my local 1/8th mile this past friday. 9.006 @ 81.22 mph, its a 97 6spd though with 3:42. I'm excited cause its bone stock and i know its got a 8.8 in it. Track prep sucked bad and had to launch like i was going for groceries. lol You did great for a higher mileage auto!

I already have a 180 degree stat. Im doing bolt-ons first so it makes sense to go ahead and get the EWP and bypass the A/C and P/S(yes I can live without them both).

Thats big mph for that et. Im assuming you have a 6 speed since the 60 ft is so bad.

Good luck man. My first passes were in a 89 4 cyl Mustang with less than 100 hp. You have a much better starting point for sure.

Good stuff right there for bad track prep. Ours wasnt bad but my all season tires were not equipped for that type of abuse. Went from 35 psi to 21 psi and went from a 14.95 to a 14.15. Radials soon.
