Default First time out with the cam

So I made it out with the cam, nothing good except best MPH. It was in the 40s... 30mph head wind all day and no prep, 2.2 60s all day but still managed 12.7s at 114.7 so I am pretty stoked! Before the cam a 2.1-2 60 would get me 13.1s on avg. So .4 gain on a bad 60, I figure on a good day, good track I can usually cut 1.9-2.0 and that got me 12.6-7s before! So hopefully I am looking at 12.3s pretty easy this summer and maybe 116 trap still on stock tires. Everyone was down MPH that I knew so good sign my car will pick up pretty big.

I ran 12.8 @ 108 with my 98 Vette, my buddy ran 12.4 @ 113 in his 07 Vette.

My other buddy ran 12.0 with a 1.6 60' with his cammed & stalled 11 SS.

so whats your point, those guys are running tire's and auto's! Try that on all season tires on that crap track in a M6, I had to baby my car out of the hole or it would blow the tires off it! You had tires too, any track can hook decent on tires... put street tires on your car and you would have been lucky to break 13.0's in that vette.

Point is, stop making excuses....other people had no problems hooking up. If you came on all season tires, that's your fault not the tracks.

I ran 12.90s with the street tires.

Anytime you wanna line up....just pick the track and I'm there.

OP nice runs. M6 on cold track sucks. I was at GLD couple weeks ago and even full on 8 sec drag cars were coming out of the hole sideways and had to abort the runs. Don't pay no attention to orangeAutomatic dude, there's no comparison.

Not bad, OP. Takes practice everytime you make changes. Bad track prep doesnt help either, lol. There should be a good bit left in her.

How is that relevant at all? Oh that's right it's not! Lol. Some people.

I think you just need to invest in some DR's and run the car to it's potential have any vids of it with the cam?

Not sure the da... if I compare my slips from last year at the same track, I picked up about 4 MPH from last time across the bored, and I was running 111 at this track and around 85 in the 1/8... this time I was running 89 in the 1/8th and 114+ traps. My car was running 112 at another track pretty consitant, with 12.6-7s, so I plan on going back there... I had allot better grip at 41 and rt66 last year, and thats were I was cutting 1.9-2.0 60s. I figure since I was still able to run a 12.7 on a 2.2 60 thats pretty good, last year it took at lest a 2.0 60 to get those times.

I cant wait to get tires on the car, but its got to wait! Also I figure its gonna take me a few trips to get used to driving the car solid with the new setup. But I am definitely happy with this little cam, I ran a bunch of bolton 5th gens from my club and walked away pretty hard. I will try and get a vid up this weekend.
