Default 103.50 trap, 14.0?????

im a complete amatuer when it comes to 1/4 mile or drag racing in general, so im just looking for advice.

i have a 2000 camaro ss, M6, Stock **** tires atm,3.42 gears, clear lid, exhaust shop 2.5 true dual cat back, other than that everything about the car is stock.

im just wondering if these track times seem normal??

You need to learn how to drive your car... That 60' is horrid.

im sure a driver mod would help quiet a bit, but that mph is pretty standard for a stock ss?

I'm sure the DA wasn't anything to boast about so I would say the mph is about right... Possibly 1-2 mph low but I would say if you are cutting mid 2.X short times, your shifts aren't quick up to snuff either.

You want an M6 to make the times at the strip, drive it like you hate it and want to break ****... Otherwise, don't compare times! LOL

You will get the hang of it.

Launch control on an m6 really helps to get the 60s down. What rpm are you launching at?

Work on that short time. I see low 13's and possibly 12's with those mph. GL.

can you give me some links for launch control? not even sure what your talking about, like a 2 step? Launching at about 2200, wheel spin was an issue for sure.

Your going to have to slip the clutch if you want a decent time with street tires. Try starting at 2500, then move up until you find the limit of your traction. Try going with 1/4 tank gas, fill the front tires up all the way and let a few psi out of the rears.

Also make you are shifting at the right rpm and as quick as possible.

He is refering to you as launch control. And you can get a set of nitto drag radials on your stock rears wheels and they will hook plenty at your power level, but you dont wanna go out and launch 3500 rpm or more on slicks because you will end out breaking your stock rear end.
